DVLF Adds Six Board Members

Philadelphia, PA (July 19) – Six local leaders recently joined the board of directors of DVLF (Delaware Valley Legacy Fund), an organization whose endowment fund, community events and other activities help meet the needs of the Greater Philadelphia LGBTQ+ community. The new board members will be officially welcomed by Board President, Fernando Gonzalez, at DVLF’s annual TOY celebration this upcoming December.
"I am thrilled to welcome this dynamic and diverse group of leaders to the board," said Gonzalez. "I look forward to their contributions to foster philanthropy by and for our vibrant LGBTQ+ community."
James T. Wright, Ph.D., is the Vice President of Business and Technology at Arclin USA LLC. Prior to this role he was the Chief Executive Officer of Evertree, North America Inc. Focused on revenue growth, profitability and relationship management, he helps organizations grow He is an accomplished professional and holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Kina Beltran is a healthcare information technology professional who oversees the day to day operations of Ambulatory Information Systems as the Ambulatory Lead for Inspira Health Network. She provides ongoing process improvement, risk assessment, and mitigation plans while analyzing business/clinical needs and is also skilled in developing and maintaining effective relationships to provide an in-depth analysis of best practice application processes. Kina has a graduate certificate in Healthcare Informatics and is currently pursuing her MBA. During her undergrad, she was the president of the African American Club and also volunteered with the Gay Straight Alliance at Rowan University and for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
Tekara Gainey is a reproductive justice advocate and birth worker. She fuses her background in anthropology and reproductive work to acknowledge and address the systems of oppression that impact availability and access to compassionate, non-judgmental, reproductive care to birthing persons and their families across the spectrum of their reproductive needs. Prior to transitioning to birth work full-time, Tekara spent numerous years working in the non-profit sector in community affairs and engagement. Tekara is an alumnus of Temple University and San Diego State University, where she pursued a BA in Anthropology and MA in Medical Anthropology, respectively.
Thomas Moore is the Vice President, Relationship Manager for Endowments and Foundation Advisory at Glenmede, Philadelphia. He provides comprehensive advisory and administrative services to endowments, foundations and other not-for-profit organizations. In this role, he lends his experience in administrative best practices, grants, foundation and board management to assist clients in accomplishing their philanthropic goals. Prior to joining Glenmede, Mr. Moore spent nearly a dozen years at the Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust subsidiaries of Bank of America Corporation.
Toni McMasters-Moran will be joining Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in the fall as an Associate Attorney where she will be working in their Labor and Employment Practice Group. Prior to moving to Philadelphia, she was the LGBT Bar National Co-Chair for the Law Student Congress, overseeing 171 law school LGBT organizations. Her prior legal work has focused on diversity and inclusion, health law, and transgender name changes. She is also a veteran and spent one tour in Afghanistan as Military Police.
Clay H. Payne is a retired library professional with proven expertise in management, fundraising, community outreach, strategic planning and serving as a community liaison. His last position was as the Director of Public Services and Human Resources with the Atlanta-Fulton County Library System. Prior to that he was the Adaptive Services Librarian in the DC branch of Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
