Meet People - DVLF hosts many events throughout the year. These are well attended by many friendly members of the LGBT and allied community who understand that we're all aiming for the same goals for the community. In addition, our network of volunteers are always in communication with each other at meetings and teaming up together on various projects.

Affect the Future - You can help leave a legacy for the future LGBT and allied communities. There is a much work to be done to advance the community. Whether it's planning an event or selecting a grantee, all of our volunteers move the community forward.

Hone Skills - Event planning, grant writing, financial analysis, marketing - All of these skills can be developed while volunteering for DVLF. Our needs fall into many categories. You can bring your exisiting skills to the table and hone them or learn new ones.

Volunteer committees include:

Finance/Administration
Responsible on an ongoing basis for the financial and administrative operations, policies, and procedures

Governance
Responsible on an ongoing basis for recruiting volunteers and establishing internal governance policies and procedures

Heroes
Annual fall fundraising event for DVLF during which LGBT “heroes” are honored

Legacy Society (Pink Ribbon Committee)
Responsible for cultivating new and maintaining relationships with donors interested in designating DVLF as a significant recipient in their estate plans

Marketing Committee
Responsible on an ongoing basis for marketing strategy, public relations, media relations, branding, and marketing communications

Outreach & Grantmaking
Responsible on an ongoing basis for outreach to the region’s LGBT constituent individuals and groups and for executing the grantmaking processes and policies

Platinum Day
Annual day-long event to honor and educate financial advisors and estate planners who are interested in the LGBT community

Resource Development
Responsible for DVLF’s fundraising and grantseeking activities

Toy
Annual holiday fundraising for DVLF and toy drive for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia HIV/AIDS unit

DVLF Board
Responsible for managing the organization and its strategies

DVLF Advisory Council
Individuals who provide expertise related to DVLF’s fundraising and community activities and goals

DVLF Interns
Assist the executive director and committees on various projects and daily operations

Rainbow Fund of Bucks County
Responsible for outreach and fundraising the LGBT Bucks County and surrounding river communities

Lawyers Breakfast
Annual reception for attorneys interested in issues affecting the LGBT community, especially estate planning

Regional LGBT Funders Network
Collaborates with affinity organizations to promote fundraising, outreach, and research to support DVLF’s goals

Wonder Women
Responsible for outreach to and fundraising within the community of lesbian, transgender, and straight allied women and emerging women leaders
